Anamarie S.S.—popular by her Wattpad username, ANAtheCowgirl—is well-known for writing unconventional and explicit Tagalog-English romances about morally-gray, humanistic characters. But if her novels will be examined closely, they are more plot-driven than character-driven and their genre and themes are not limited to romance.

The stories that she feels like writing are those that, she believes, has an interesting plot and has a relevant message to share to its readers.

Her books are published in print under various Philippines publishers--Pink & Purple (Bookware's imprint), LIB, and Red Room Books. Some of her online stories are under the Wattpad Paid Stories Program.

She is also a recipient of Wattys 2018 - The Storysmiths award (Alfred Sin), Wattys 2019 - New Adult award (Rough), and Wattys 2022 - Romance award (The Test).

Aside from writing, she is a regitered editor under National Book Development Board Philippines. She works as a project-based manuscript editor and proofreader for PSICOM Publishing, Inc. and Sanctum Press.
